This is a 5 star heaven in the jungle very secluded, and overlooking the beach. We had never been to Thailand before so we just had to hope that we had picked the right hotel. This hotel is on Karon Beach, the next beach south of Patong. I have to say that if I had to book this holiday all over again I would not change anything. The rooms and furniture are the best quality, our balcony was overlooking the sea which had breathtaking views of Karon Beach. Patong is a popular beach (almost like Costa del Sol, lots of pubs, restaurants and market stalls)so it's nice to have the tranquility of Karon and take a tuk tuk to Patong which we did a couple of times, there is still a lot to see and do in the evening at Karon though. There is a lovely swimming pool at the hotel, you can order lunch from there and the staff will bring it to you, nothing is too much trouble. There is also a very good restaurant 'The Rock' which is open fronted overlooking the sea, very popular so book in advance.
Also a nice finishing touch to our holiday was when we were leaving Rambo the baby elephant came to say goodbye, his favorite things are bananas and people.

| "We stayed in the lowest price room. It was very small, no room for a chair. There was no TV which would have been useful as my wife was sick for 2 days and it was very boring just lying in bed. The breakfast was good, staff very good. There is a lot of walking to go anywhere as the Gardenview and Jungle facing rooms are scattered through the picturesque 'jungle'. The walkways are everywhere but not covered so wet weather might be a problem-- umbrellas are provided. The terrain is hilly so if walking is a problem give this place a miss. We stayed for 9 nights, a shorter stay in the lower price room would be okay. The "On the Rocks" restaurant is lovely and the free dinner [limited menu] was appreciated." |

| "This small well run boutique hotel is stunning with wonderful service and great views of the beach. It is paradise at the right price. Do not expect a large scale, ornate hotel.
It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely return.
We were in the smallest bungalow which was very nice. Next trip we would request an ocean view.

| "Perfect location, great staff, fantastic value.
We arrived very late, but the staff were all ready for us, and checked us in very promptly with no hassle.
Garden rooms (where we stayed) seem to be smaller than the other rooms, but actually the location and position of these were the best in the hotel (with the execption of the sea views).
I absolutely would go back, at 28GPB per night fantstic value." |
