| "The resort was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. The location is great about 4kms away from Patong beach so its well away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were courteous and polite. I definately will be returning, can't wait." |

| "A perfect place to stay for people who do not want to be right in the hustle and bustle of Patong. The staff were lovely. All of the restaurants had beautiful food. And every request we had was looked after very quickly.
I will definitely return to this resort, and have already told freidns about it, including one work colleague who has already booked to stay there." |

| "My wife and I had 7 days at the Merlin Beach Resort. We were very impressed with the entire Resort. From the very large and well appointed rooms to the 3 large pools and grounds to the many resturants in the Resort. It is about 5 minutes away from the main Patong Beach area but plenty of transport available including a free shuttle from the hotel. We had a wonderfull holiday and would certainly stay at the Merlin again." |

| "This resort was too far away from the shopping area if you're only having a short stay. For a longer period and if you can afford it, it would be OK.
The resort would not help with a refund for one nights accommodation which we didn't use. Instead they directed us back to asia rooms. At the end of our stay they charged us for miscellaneous items which they claimed were missing from our room. When we challenged this, they immediately removed the charge without question. So check your bill carefully. Also be sure to sign for every drink at the pool bar. My bill seemed to escalate out of all proportion to what I had drunk and I could not challenge it.
The staff were not as friendly as hoped. It was a struggle to get a smile. Apart from this the service was good.

| "The Merlin Beach Resort is a gorgeous place, from the moment we arrived we were greeted by the lovely staff. They handed us a hot towel and a icy cold cocktail, just to help us unwind from a long 9 hr flight.
It was a perfect start to our holiday. We enjoyed our firt night in a beautiful delux room, but were not crazy on the view, the next morning we went down to the reception and asked if we could change rooms. We were then told we could have the next 4 days in our own pool access delux room, which is amazing. Loved every minute of it.
Definately recommend this resort, especially for the people who want to be away from all the hustle & bussle of the busy streets of Patong.

| "we stayed at the merlin for 2 nights. after stayin at 2 other hotels beforehand the merlin was the best hotel. we had a standard twin room. it was great. i loved every minute there. the pools are so nice n relaxing. everything is clean and room serivce is excellent. it is about 10 min from patong beach, there is a free bus the leaves hotel every 2 hrs or so. if u catch a taxi to patong it will cost around 300baht. if u are going to do tours, dont book them at the merlin. they are half the price at patong beach. this hotel is excellent and worth the money spent. i would stay there again for sure. :) " |

| "The hotel is fantastic, we loved the location & layout. The kids loved the pools & the short stroll to the beaches. All the restaurants are lovely & the staff very attentive. Room service is very good & so is the breakfast spread. The evening entertainment in the lobby is very good too. Overall we had a great time & would recommend MERLIN BEACH to all our family & friends. Thank you- The Koelmeyer family." |

| "The Hotel was excellent. The facilities were supurb. There were so many restaurants and cafes, we could go to something new each night. The view was spectacular and with a private beach it makes it all that more intimate.
However the service could have been better. We were charged twice for the airport transfer as they wanted cash when we got there and then charged us agian through the room and were very blunt with me when i told them i had already paid for it. They refused to compromise and said i would just have to pay it or the transfer would leave wothout me. The people at the resort seemed to only be nice to you when you were paying for something and not just cause you were staying there. I figured it was because it was an extremely large resort and not very personal.
Other than the service the Resort was great." |
