| "The staff were friendly. However does not speak English, had to ask the assistant manager to attend to us. She was friendly and helpful. Asked for connecting room and were given. The cons were the breakfast. There were missing dishes on the 2nd morning and orange juice refill were too sweet. Fresh milk is actually goat's milk , couldn't take the smell. This hotel is located near to the Robinson & Ocean shopping mall. There is also shuttle service to Central Festival Mall. However don't expect the shuttle to be a seat in coach or mini coach.Overall we were quite satified with the service." |

| "good location, in the center of town. The room is good value for money, very spacious especially the bathroom. I suggest having holidays with friends where you need a comfortable room to sleep and save your holiday money for shopping around town. The hotel provides free shuttle service to and fro to Central festival couple of times a day. Breakfast ok. Downsides, you can tell from the condition, this hotel isn't brand new, i found crocroah in my room. Over all i'm satisfied with my stay. But if you looking for a hotel with nice outdoor swiiming pool and enjoy sunbath, better look for somewhere else. " |

| "we stayed at the metropole january 2008 for 5 nights
before moving onto Patong.
We found the staff very obliging and friendly the hotel came across as a 3 star hotel a little dated needs a steady refurb, a shame because the hotel has had capabilities to being a leading hotel in Phuket town for years to come, providing it keeps up its standards.
The buffet breakfasts had plenty of choice and to us were very good,we had a few evening buffets of which we found very value and a wide choice of product especially for me as I like thai food.
The swimming pool was pleasant and clean very refreshing on a hot day.
The gym was a little sparse in equipment could have been better.
The hotel was in a great position to explore Phuket town and this we did,the prices here are a lot better than Patong and other resorts, the markets are better too,we found the people here to be very obliging enjoyed our stay.
I would definately stay here again." |

| "The hotel was really unpleasant. The bathroom was terrible filled with cockroaches. The moment you open the shower, rusty water comes out and it stays for a while." |

| "Overall this hotel is good. Especially the location is perfect, near to souvenir shops, restaurants, and Robinson Plaza.
When we arrived, the bell boy helped us to bring our luggage to our room. Of course we thanked him and gave him money after that. But when we check out, the service got worse. We asked for taxi to the bell boy. First he said OK. But then, the bell captain said we can go to outside hotel to get taxi by ourselves. He didn't even help us to bring our luggage. " |

| "You cannot fault the Metropole hotel, It is extremely welcoming, and the staff are superb.
It was the Christmas period and the decor was out of this world! The tree was the prettiest and the biggest we had ever seen. The hotel foyer was huge with gift shopping and internet facilities.
The escalator within the foyer takes you to the best value buffet we have ever had. For about 200/300 Baht (roughly £3)you can eat as much as you like of the wide range of chinese, thai and english foods with excellent waitresses service.
We booked a superior room, and were very pleased with the size. The room was very clean and very well equipped with a king size bed and great views of phuket town. The mini bar within the room was at supermarket prices which was also a great bonus.
We had a 2 hour traditional thai massage within the hotel for 500 baht which we also recommend.
There is a lovely outside pool on the 4th floor, and gym. The bar lounge offers relaxing entertainment and is again great value for money.
The Metropole seems to be one of the newest in phuket town and overall a much nicer place. We DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE! We promise you won't be disappointed!!! " |
