This is the third time we have stayed at Patong Bay Garden Resort as we enjoy the position but the hotel does nothing to make the beachfront a feature. They have put up green shade cloth to keep out the wind and it stays there even when then there is no wind and it takes away the view and it looks disgusting. We stayed in the first floor Andaman Suite and had to look at this badly erected shade cloth instead of the beach. I asked the Manager to take it down and she said she would but never did.

| "I have to say first of all the service that we recieved from the new manager who aparently had just started was 1st class she was fantastic!
now the truth about the hotel , if you are on a budget and not looking for somthing flash stay here it will be a good place to start a holiday ,the pictures on the internet were a little deciveing, it is a bit old , in need of an update , the buffet was avereage the pool was alright... best thing about it it was in front of the beach & if action is what you are after welcome to phuket! overall not a 5 star
maybe a 2 star? (big maybe) in there defense they did tell us they are renovating? so go figure
it is in a god location but its old
but if the renovation were done I would probaly stay there again ..." |

| "We stayed at Patong Bay Gardens for 3 nights initially a Juniour Suite ..O.k heaps of positives..Great location...welcoming reception...great breakfasts... helpfull enough staff...pool is great..i would recommend a swim up bar in the next major renovation (but thats just my opinion lol)..o.k minor delimas...Our 1st room, the Juniour Suite had a slight case of smelly mouldy wall odour(it was on the lower story)... after a incense session from house keeping (I would recommend a 6.4% chang beer at this stage as well)..but to their credit we were moved without fuss to a Andermain Suite right on the beach for only a nominal charge...which smelt slightly less damp..o.k..shower time..but the hot water was only warm/coldish..we made a call to reception and the water slowly got warmer over a 24 hour period...apart from that,we had fun here..great Aussie contingent..friendly place...your in Thailand things happen eventually and also remember you are on holidays..You could do a lot worse than this hotel..Enjoy " |

only bad thing I can find in room was bad smell of bed. when I am not tired, I couldn't even sleep because of those smell. but with a 67 usd, I think this is great deal.

| "We travelled in low season so this hotel was an absolute bargain. We really enjoyed staying here and will definately stay there again. The staff were tremendous, and the location you couldn't ask for better, just walk past the pool and there is the beach. Walk out the front and there are the shops.
The room size was good, the only problem we had was the bathroom, and that was just because the shower wasn''t set up great so water went over half the floor, but hey - WHO CARES.
My husband wasn't keen on the breakfast, but he staill ate plenty, it was just less variety than other places we have stayed at.
Honestly, we stayed and loved it, it was really, really great." |

| "My last stay at Patong Bay Garden Resort was very disappointing. For the 10 days we were there we had no hot water. After asking for assistance in this our requests fell on deaf ears and management would not intervene. This is my second stay at this resort in March 2008 I would have given it a 5 star rating but in a space of 6 months I would give it a 3 star rating. The location is in a prime position and that at present would be the only incentive to go back there." |
