| "This review pertains to my three-day stay in August, 2007.
I had stayed at the Patong Beach Resort Hotel once before in April 2006, and at that time the rooms and public areas were kept clean and neat; the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful; and the food was good. I was therefore looking forward to my short stay there in August 2007.
However, this time I was disappointed. Maintenance has been neglected both inside and out, and the staff at the registration desk now needs lessons in good manners. (Tips were actually demanded)! My request for a three-hour late check out was refused, even though there were many vacancies and and my room obviously was not needed for incoming guests.
On the plus side, the free buffet breakfast is more than adequate; umbrellas are available in the guest rooms; the swimming pool is well maintained; and the location is convenient for shopping.
With some painting and sprucing up and some retraining of the staff, the Patong Beach Resort Hotel could again be a very pleasant place to stay." |

| "We liked the hotel--which was close to Patong Beach. The bathtubs are "to-die-for" beautiful. The rooms are fairly small, though, and we were put in a first floor room with a view of the parking lot--which we did not like. The view rooms are better. Two swimming pools are very nice, one with its own mini-beach, and the buffet breakfasts are fabulous. A good deal for the price we got through Asia Rooms." |

| "I went with some girlfriends and was impressed with the hotel. It's location was central to everything. The pool was excellent, lazing by it with cocktails and big enough for everyone. Great value for money, breakfast was included with everything you would want. We would stay here again." |

| "I had checked in on the 30th Oct and checked out on the 2nd Nov 2006.
Everything was perfect except for the electricity interuption for 7 hours on the 31 Oct which was given short notice to us. I feel short-changed by the management. There was no way they found out about it at the last minute. I am more inclined to belief that they knew about it earlier but kept it to themselves. They should have given us some kind of discount for that discomfort!
2. Another problem was that my room at 1121 was not clean on the 1st Nov 2006 although I left the room at 9.00 am and returned at 4.00 pm. I had left the note PLEASE MAKE UP MY ROOM outside the door. Imagine coming back feeling so very tired and cannot rest because the room was not done.
3. I had stayed at the hotel previously on a number of occasions. I don't think I would want to stay there anymore since there are other hotels around the area. If they continue to treat their guests lightly sooner or later more guests would move to other hotels. They must understand that customer service is very important in order to get return guests. They totally lacked these." |

| "We have stayed severall times at the Patong Beach Hotel because we liked the location, service and the rooms. We will not stay there again because of the very loud music from their own Banana Bar. We complaint severall times but nothing was done about the volume. The music stayed on most nights till 2 o'clock in the morning. The rooms are very nice and we certainly enjoyed the nice beach view from the 8th floor. But again, we will not stay there again and switch to a different hotel on Patong Beach." |

| "Was mightily impressed with the hotel. Our room was excellent with a magnificent view of the beach and setting sun. The service we received from all hotel staff was excellent with everyone being extremely helpful and courteous. The room although smaller than i am used to offered excellent comfort, the sliding door to open the bath up into the bedroom was very clever and a great idea. I had a massage and would recommend this to anyone whether young or old. The area around Patong beach hotel is very lively and has a good choice of bars and restaurants. My only real concern would be that the "Bananas" bar was a little too close to the hotel, as a result it was hard if you needed to get an early night sleep as the music could be clearly heard. Overall a great hotel in a great location and i would definitely book my hols there again." |
