"1) The hotel is too quiet and isolated from the town. 2) The way up the slope to the other wing is too deserted and too many blind corners. 3) The tuk-tuks and the taxis always drop us outside only, y can't they just come in to the main door, even if it is raining~~!! 4) Internet only available on 2 computers in the lobby, too little. 5) Cut the trees, or trim it... it should not be blocking some nice views. 6) Variety of the breakfast should be more, everyday seems to be the same food. 7) Lift is too slow. 8) i appreciate the effort that the resort took to decorate my room because they thought we were on honeymoon. 9) I like the minimal disturbance.. quiet and peaceful."

"Good Hotel for a modest budget. Good location & facilities. English speaking abilities of staff leaves much to be desired. Thats one big improvement area. otherwise just fine for the amount of money spent."

"This hotel is a nice one. My room was very good, and had an excellent view of the bay. The pool is fine, and the breakfast very adequate. The only downside is the location, as it is a somewhat hazardous walk to Patong Beach. The rate I got from AsiaRooms made this a bargain. Highly recommend for those who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. "

"Whilst the room was large and clean, keep very much in mind that this is a BUDGET hotel. Getting to our room involved walking past a huge generator of sorts, which blew hot air and made a tremendous noise continuously. Not a great first impression! Our room was quite basic and in dire need of renovation. Our view was of a derelict building under demolition. AND this was despite our advising in advance that we were on our honeymoon. Having said all of that, the staff were helpful, especially the manager who assisted us to make telephone calls and arranged for a fair taxi price to go 1.5 hours up the coast."

"When we arrived we were not given the type of room we had booked but we were moved after the first night. We were on the 5th floor (top) which was EXTREMELY NOISY from the constant running compressors on the roof above our heads, and even after being moved we still had difficulty sleping due to the noise. The location is VERY bad as we had to walk along a track at the side of the road for nearly 1 kilometer having to walk into the road to pass parked cars, van, and tuk tuks, before we reached the safety of a pavement. We could not recomend this hotel at all to either families or senior citizens. The only plus point was the very friendly general staff which unfortunately did not extend to the receptionists. Gordon"

"Front reception...no idea...basically incompetent. You ask the manager a question and she answers through her front counter staff without acknowledging that your standing there. They came across very superficial, arrogant and rude. Asked for an early check in and late check out...got a late check in and early check out....paid and asked for three adult beds got a double and a kids fold out bed....gave up trying to expalain we wanted adult beds....was just happy in the end to get a room. Great restaurant and pool bar staff, nice pool..shame about reception and the management. Won't have to put up with it again..won't be back"

"The hotel was good value for the price. Breakfast ofered was quite reasonable. The dinner I had there was reasonably priced. On the whole, staff were helpful, though not all were entirely friendly."

"I was a bit disappointed by this accomodation. There was a strong smell in the resort, rooms were a bit dated and run down, it was hard to communicate with the staff as they spoke very little english, however they were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was not great but ok. Pool area was lovely and not overcrowded. Located a fair way from the centre of Patong. Can't complain too much as it was one of the cheapest accommodation. "

"THIS IS OUR THIRD STAY AT PATONG LODGE AND WE FIND IT GOOD VALUE. tHE ROOM IS COMFORTABLE AND WELL LIT (MANY IN THAILAND ARE NOT). THE MAINTENANCE CHECKS ARE EXCELLENT. THE POOL IS DELIGHTFUL. THE RESTAURANT SERVES EXCELLENT EVENING MEALS AS WELL AS BREAKFAST. THE STAFF ARE ALL FIRST CLASS, FROM THE BELLBOYS TO RECEPTION, FROM CLEANERS AND GARDENER TO RESTAURANT STAFF. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THE HOTEL IS WHEN IT RAINS THE POOLSIDE FACILITIES ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT NEEDED AND IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF PART OF THE RESTAURANT COULD BE MADE AVAILABLE WITH COMPLIMENTARY TEA, COFFEE AND JUICE, WITH A MEMBER OF STAFF ON HAND TO TAKE ORDERS FOR ALCHOHOLIC DRINKS AND SNACKS. WE SPENT MANY BLEAK HOURS IN OUR ROOM WHILST THE RAIN POURED ONTO OUR BALCONY, AND WAS SO HEAVY THAT IT WAS POINTLESS TO LEAVE THE HOTEL, AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE STRETCHED OUR LEGS BY WALKING TO THE RESTAURANT AND SITTING AND CHATTING WITH OTHER GUESTS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE BEEN IN PHUKET WITH PROLONGED RAIN, SO THE SITUATION HAS NEVER ARISEN BEFORE. I FELT SORRY FOR FAMILIES CONFINED TO THEIR ROOMS, SO MAYBE YOU'D LIKE TO CONSIDER THIS SUGGESTION. APART FROM THIS, I HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING PATONG LODGE AS WE HAVE SPENT UP TO A MONTH AT A TIME EACH TIME WE'VE BEEN IN PHUKET, SO OBVIOUSLY WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING."
