The hotel was wonderful, especially the room and pool. Breakfast could do with some improvement, especially as we stayed 6 days there was not much variation - the soft boiled eggs were always raw and the fruit juice should have been real. The service and staff friendliness was fantastic and genuine. The gym was nice, but there is a problem with the cross trainer that when you pause to have a drink the program stops completely. The location is great because it is far enough away from the Patong noise and bustle and still close enough for regular shopping trips. Overall it is a fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.

| "I stayed at Paragon hotel in September during the demonstration. The staff is helpful and try hard to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in a pool-access room which is nice. It's a low season; so there aren't many people in the pool makes it nice and quiet to sit out in the patio and able to dip in the pool from your room. I think it can be noisy during peak season to have people in the pool outside of your room all day long; so something to watch for.
The breakfast buffet is fairly good, main dishes are changed daily (we stayed 5 days). Short walk to the beach. There are a few stunning ocean view of upscale restaurants near by. Be prepare to pay $160 U.S. dinner for two with wine at these restaurants." |

| "Our family of seven stayed in three rooms, two pool access and one pool view (on the third floor). All of the rooms were very well maintained, large and had a clean, modern and well equipped bathroom with separate soaking tub and shower. The bathrooms and rooms were all large and well appointed. Very comfortable. The pool access rooms were adjoing and were at the end of the pool near the pool bar which was great for after touring, boating, or hitting the beach at the end of the day. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and even loaned my family a dominoes game to take back to our room and play (after teaching us how to play). A great way to relax! There's a Tuk Tuk stand right out the front door for transport to all points towards the south end of the beach to include Bangla, etc. We didn't find the distance from that area inconvenient at all and in fact walked it twice in about 20 minutes. Catching a Tuk Tuk or motorscooter taxi back was simple and without hassle as well. All seven of us could and did squeeze into the Tuk Tuk and it was 200 baht each way. If you're going to visit Fantasea you're already half way there if you stay at the Patong Paragon as opposed to hotels on the south end of the beach. Additionally, there is a fantastic high end restaurant named the Ban Rim Paa which is about a 3-4 minute walk north of the hotel on the beach road (great seafood and wine selections with outstanding views over the water). The hotel itself has a nice seafood restaurant and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. They have a very friendly and helpful desk staff and tour coordinators as well. None of spoke a word of Thai but had no difficulty communicating in English with the staff. All in all, if the price in within your budget I don't think you can do much better for the same money. By the way, the atmosphere is much less mass production and more boutique than the Holiday Inn. Good luck and hope you all enjoy whichever hotel you stay in (try the speedboat tour of the Phi Phi Islands and the Sea Kayaking through the island caves in Phang Nga Bay)." |

| "We stayed from 12-15 august. We stayed in a pool access room which was the highlight of our holiday. Room size is big with dvd player included. The gym had free weights,bikes and cross-trainer and they are very new.It is about 20 mins from the hotel to jungcelyon.The staff were all very polite & nice. We will be back. Soon!." |
