The room a bit dirty and the aircon doesnt work then we asked the staff and we changed the room. Lucky we only stay for 1 night

| "This hotel is in a great location and an easy 250m stroll to the beach & about the same to the nightlife (I understand the '04 Tsunami wave did roll right up Sawasdeeruk Rd past the hotel but, being set several feet above the street level, the hotel & guests were pretty much directly unaffected).
Some of the spacious & spotlessly clean rooms overlook the pool - which was always clean & well maintained - and/or a lovely garden area. Rooms have good water pressure (nice hot water..) and the aircon effectively cools the room in a few minutes.
The included buffet breakfast was fairly small (being off season) but perfectly adequate with fruit, eggs cooked to order with self serve ham, bacon, potatoes, rice etc. I also used the pleasant open air restaurant on several occasions and the food is tasty & modestly priced.
There's a night time uniformed security guard and individual safe deposit boxes at the front desk. The hotel is in a quiet & safe location - great for families or single females.
The hotel has a travel desk and also offers its own transport to & from the airport and I found the latter reliable & on time with a friendly, careful driver in a modern vehicle. At B600 you could probably save B50 by shopping around but, Hey, why bother!
Finally, the staff are great! Everyone from restaurant staff, front desk people & cleaners were smiling, happy, friendly & couldn't do enough for you.
I stayed there for a few nights before travelling then another night before catching my flight back to Oz and the staff welcomed me back like a long-lost brother!
If, like me, you want a reasonable standard of accomm in a good location without paying a fortune, then you can't go past the Patong Pearl. The internet off- season rates represent excellent value.
Needless to say, on my next visit to Phuket or beyond, I'll be staying at the Patong Pearl!

| "Worst of the 4 hotels I stayed during my 9 days trip.
Just didn't feel secure sleeping in there.... totally low morale...
Luckily I only stayed there for one night...
I personally like Kata coz my experience with Kata poolside is fantastic, nice room, nice people. and the Kata beach is cleaner, quieter... well probably I'm not the party at nite sort... don't really need to be staying at the busiest beach..." |

| "It's certainly good value for money during peak season as no diff in pricing at all compared to low season for a standard room which has a huge room. Towels are as white/clean as new. Beach towels are available if you need towels for tours or sun tanning on the beach. Bathroom is small and you'll wet the whole floor once you bathe as there's just a curtain to block the water from splashing all over. Good that the floor dried up within an hr after you bathe, so it's not too bad. Safe deposit box at reception. I check out at 6am for airport and they prepared me a breakfast box as promised. It's a little cold coz probably prepared much earlier that morning. But it's quite a big portion complete with fruits and mineral water. Will definitely consider this hotel again for future stay. " |

| "the hotel was okay, until we got thrown out the last day.
they was not good when it was a problem
this was not okay, after a lot of arguing we got sent to another hotel far away, the hotel was dirty and there was a lot of noise.
a good reason to not use you again.
and we was a group of 21 people who went to patong for my wedding, and five of us hade to change hotel the last day!!!
