| "Poppa Palace is a great place to stay. Family and friends recently spent 7 nights at Poppa and I honestly can't fault it. Great value; great friendly staff; staff always helpful; premises very clean; pool sparkling clean. (Perhaps one small fault - the pool has high level chlorine and a couple of items of clothing were bleached and some sore eyes about but they learnt not to put the head under again!)
Location wise Poppa is great- close to both main roads; the path through to the beach road was easily navigated once you knew how; locals always directed you anyway. Comes out right at the Irish Bar so that would always be our landmark!
Breakfast was basic but as included in room rate, represented good value. Always cook your eggs to order.
Another plus with Poppa that they had good internet service - cost 50 baht for 50 minutes and they give you a coupon with login details. You don't have to use it all at once; just sign out and whenever sign back in again. Very handy.
There are no kettles in the room but you only need to ask them and an air pot will be supplied.
Their mini bar, which is a small/medium size fridge, is stocked to capacity - prices were very reasonable.
We travelled with two small children and all the staff couldn't do enough for them. We thank them for that.

| "We came in family of six, booked 3 rooms of twins for 4 adults & 2 children & we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Although I booked through Asiarooms, I've contacted Poppa palace regarding the airport transfers, they answered my queries promptly & helped me to arrange mini bus to pick us up @ 1000 baht per transfer, which is the normal rate, but the point is that it make us feel safe rather than hailing the transport @ the airport.
We enjoyed the stay in Poppa as it is clean, staff were friendly & helpful. The pool is rather small, but I've no chance to dip in the pool as we have too many activities, so it does not affect me. The breakfast was normal, nothing fantastic. The rooms are clean & spacious for 2 person. Too few english channels. Walking distance to the beach & shopping area-plus point.The children liked to surf & play with the internet as they feel is cheap, 50baht for 50mins.
Poppa is really a place suitable for those under budget. I will definitely stay there again. Thanks Poppa Palace.:>" |

| "The hotel is very nice, with an excellent location. 5 minutes walk to the beach and in a very cute alley where you could have anything you wnt, small restaurants, laundry, scooter rental, etc. The staff are very friendly, especially the one at the tourist tour counter and the guys of the breakfast. The hotel was clean and the service very good. I would greatly recommend this hotel for all purposes." |

I never stay in Patong in the high season,but when low season starts,you can find me at the Poppa Palace,happy happy staff,breakfast is ok,but for the price its good at this high end beach location." |

| "The room and service was really good and the staff were always happy and smiling.. The night staff didnt understand as much English as day staff but it was no problem..
The door into the bathroom was a pain though.. If you wanted to use the sink, you open the door walk in then close the door to get to the sink.. There was a really bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom as well most nights, but this didnt go into the rest of the room..
The breakfast was really nice, and a good selection of both Thai and Western foods.. The only thing was that they werent always labelled so you didnt know exactly what you were serving yourself..
The only part of the path that we wouldnt walk at night was the one going directly to the beach, back toward main road was no problem at all..
We will be back and recommend friends to go as well" |

| "Rooms are just average type, AC is good. Breakfast is not good. No Varieties at all. You will get bored in the 1st day itself with the breakfast. It's about 5 minutes walk to the Patong Beach, if you take the narrow shortcut. There are lot of seafood eateries nearby. (Main road). " |
