I found the Poppa Palace to be a very good hotel. No complaints over service, quality of the room, the breakfast, or the staff attitude. I did not use the pool so can not really comment on that other than it looked clean, though not overly large. The hotel has internet for hire for those that need it. It is close to all the main attractions in Patong, while being secluded enough to be quiet at night. Only minor issue I had was staying 2 extra nights, the hotel charged me more than it was thru asiarooms by about $20 australian a night. That may have been thru booking on the spot at late notice. I would recommend this hotel to most, as I have no complaints and would not hesitate to use again.

| "If you're looking for a budget hotel, Poppa Palace is definitely the place to stay! It is located at the center of the town. It takes about 10 minutes walking distance to the beach. 5 minutes walking distance to the pubs & bars. So near & convenient! The staffs there is very friendly and the room is very clean.
The only drawback for this hotel is that it does not have a beautiful view on the balcony (the balcony is facing other hotels). But that doesn't bother us at all. In fact, we are really satisfied staying there.
I just came back from Phuket about a week ago and
I strongly recommend this hotel to those who are looking to stay in a budget hotel. Cheers!" |

| "This is the second time in 3 months,and I like the hotel as well the area. if you take a joiner in the room ,you have to pay 500 Bath one time .no breakfast . So its good to know . I must say there were a lot of moslims in the hotel about 80 % most from Arabia and Pakistan. So it was funny to go for breakfast and see all these black dresses, fully covered lady,s in Thailand .Patong near Bangla...very strange.
I must give the service a big compliment for beeing so patient en staying polite ,as The Arabs and specially the Pakistani are very load and making a lot of stress for nothing. They never said : Thank You or good morning ,and they had no manners and were very arogant ,but the staff was very patient with these terrible people.I felt sorry for the staff,as we went to Bangkok " |
