If you want to be in the thick of Patong Beach action, this is the place to stay without overspending. An easy stroll through some “interesting” streets to the beach. It is, however, like many hotels in Asia, a little tired now. But the people were tops and the value for money good. If you want a quite and pristine place to “get away”, stay at Karong Beach or somewhere not so close to the ubiquitous markets, Indian tailors and thumping nightclubs. Be sure to ask for a room on the quiet side of the complex, otherwise you won’t get any sleep.
If you want to be close to the “spice” this is the place for you.
Excellent pool and good breakfasts.
Very helpful, charming staff.
Mattresses were quite hard -- but I liked them.
Took a day or so for the air con to clear out the musty smell.
If, like the cranky European couple who verbally abused the check-out staff when we arrived, you expect to be treated beyond human reason, stay at home and consult with your mirror.
Next time I would book at Karong Beach since I don’t care if I ever see another night market or get harassed by another tuk tuk driver as long as I live. But, hey, I live on the water at Port Macquarie, Australia. Why would I leave home?

| "The hotel is very centerally located very close to all the ammenities. the hotel although very nice, and seems like an oasis in the middle of Patong. Is litterary on the doorstep of massage parlours, tailors, the main road for shoppong and 5 - 10 min walk from the beach. Next time I would not stay in patong as it is to full on, to many people hassling you for suits massages and tuk tuk's and it must be unbearable in season. I would stay in Kata or some other area close to Patong but quiet enough for you to have a great break and relax without being hassled. The beach water in patong was quite littered. none the less the Royal paradise was a very nice hotel." |

| "We were assigned a room on the 6th floor in the older wing. When we stepped out of the elevator, the hallway smelled really musky & smoky & the room stank as well. So we requested to change room & this time we got a room on the 17th floor, much better. The view is breath-taking, from the large balcony, we could see the pool, hilly terrains & the sea. The room is big, nice & clean, only gripe was the bathroom, the taps doesn't work well & the water is really rusty & it takes forever to drain. Breakfast is mediocre but with the variety & price of food in patong, I'd have no problems eating out. Def. a place to consider staying again & at US$30/night, its a steal." |

| "me and my freind have stayed there for 5 nights, and during our stay we enjoyed it to the extrems, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was not that good but who cares, location was perfect, despite the fact that you have to pass through the gay area which was not that bad, actulay we found it funny everyday.
the swimming pool was the best i saw in thailand among all the hotels i have stayed there.
make sure that you book on the new side i guess it was called the royal wing, it has a pool view and a mountai view, besides it is way cleaner and better.
