| "The staff at Lawan Residence is great, thanks to Gary and Joy. They both were friendly and very informative about Phuket day trips. The hotel even has its own private taxi that you can book for a very reasonable price. The only concern about the overall experience at Lawan Residence would be the air condition is not that cold in temperature and there is no divider or wall between the bathroom and the toilet.That is ok considering the hotel rate. Definitely, Lawan is a place for travellers to go if they are looking for rooms in the heart of Patong Phuket.

| "Stayed here for 6 nights. The rooms were ok, not quite what I was expecting, the rooms looked nicer and larger in the photos and the balcony is not really a balcony, but an enclosed room with a window. The stairs are steep and narrow and the restaurant is basically non existant. These points didnt bother me too much, what did my head in was the noise coming from the gym next door. Just terrible, after a big night out when you just want to sleep in, you cant cause of the banging coming from next door. After a long day scuba diving and you want an afternoon nap, forget it! The noise is from morning to night! And swapping rooms makes no difference, believe me I tried! The staff are nice and friendly though and the service is second to none. So if you wake up early and dont require a nap during the day, then Lawan is recommended. Personally I dont think I will be staying here again. My Rating is 2.5 out of 5." |

| "we stayed for 4 days was going to be only one night so we could find a hotel but found the rooms nice and the location great and the staff excellent we ended up just staying the rest of the time here,very happy with it" |

| "I stayed at Lawan Residence for 19 nights in August/ September. I fully recommend it, the staff are very friendly (Joy and Co), the owner Gary is a friendly and approachable chap. Lawan is located close enough to the action of Patong, while not being too close either. The rooms are cleaned very well on a daily basis and there is no need to worry about the security of your personal belongings. I will be staying at the Lawan Residence again upon returning to Patong." |

| "I stayed at this hotel for 4 days in August , a very pleasent stay. Rooms are very clean and good size, the air conditioning and all appliances are in very good condition also because of the fact they are new. All staff is very friendly , the hotel have a good location , overall I rate this hotel very good and I'll surely stay there again If I plan go to back to Patong again." |

| "Staying at the Lawan residence was the hightlight of my trip to Asia.
The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and modern, and the price for what I got was the best value I ever experianced.
Friendly staff, close to the beach, shopping,restaurants, and nightlife.
I will stay there on all my future trips, and be sure to meet Gary, owner and operator of the hotel, he is helpful and has equiped his hotel with all the modern conviences I am accustomed to, yet has preserved the ambiance of all that is Thailand, land of smiles!!!!" |

| "Stayed at the Lawan Residence for about 15 days.
This is a budget place, don't expect the Hilton with scenic views. But it is clean, spacious and has a very good value for money. It is at walking distance from the nightlife areas, many massage parlors and Jungceyon, the big shopping mall. Also it is not too far from the beach.
I enjoyed my stay here and I would not hesitate to stay here again when I return to Patong.
Gary the owner is a very nice guy, he welcomed me on my arrival. Joy is an excellent host, she is genuinely interested in her guests and is very helpful. The other lady, don't know her name, I found a bit disinterested in the guests, perhaps it is mostly language related.
Wireless internet was reliable and fast. My room had a safe large enough to put my laptop in which I found a big plus. I would have preferred to see the safe bolted though.
Overall, a good budget place!

| "Room was clean,bed OK but bathroom had no air-con & balcony useless.Wise to use the Raid insecticide before entering Bathroom to deter Mozzies.Guests are urged to submit good reviews!Stairs are dangerously steep and bar/restaurant/reception closes 2100 till 0800.
This is an average low budget Hotel and although I was comfortable enough I worry that these stairs are the only means of escape in a fire." |

| "hi joy hi gary thanks for putting me and kev up in january had very clean room, gym next door is handy also dive shop near by. bangla rd is 5 mins walk but this place is on quiet side street. also have motorbike for rent and joy can book anything for you. been phuket many times now and this is great value will be back here for christmas. " |

| "Stayed at the Lawan for 8 nights in April. The room had all that I look for when travelling a spacious clean room, a big, comfortable bed, quiet, efficient air conditioning, good location (less than 3 mins walk to Junkceylon), Mini bar, friendly, helpful staff, safety box in room and Wi-fi. I am returning to Phuket in August and will stay at the Lawan again." |
