"Bright airy Room that was very clean. Poor facilities for hanging clothes or storing bags. Location is perfect if you want to be right in the heart of Old Phuket."

"We stayed in this hotel for one night. The rooms were not clean (hairs and others in the bathrooms, dust,...) plus cocroaches and spiders but they do their best to satisfy us."
5/5  Posted by MR. MINGWEI, PAN, China in April 2007
"Very friendly staff and even one of them can speak a little Chinese. Surprise to me! A stone's throw from Karon Beach and quieter than Patong Beach. Lots of Europeans, esp Germans and Swiss were accomodating there. Generally, very recommendable!"

"Nice style. Interesting layout. Great location. Helpful and friendly service. Only bad point is that the rooms on the ground floor are noisey."

"The Name of the Inn is called -The Taste.~~~ But my dear friends all over the world, and the management of Asiaroom.com. This hotel not really hv the taste, do not believe what you hv seen, all the nice pretty photos in the internet w site. 1)The room hv no phone , all the room hv no phone . 2)The bath room hv no hot water, 3) The bath room and the toilet are togather, no door .. 4) Can't find a place to hang the dress, not ever a small nail on the wall. 5) The aircon leaking water, so the room's floor are very wet. 6) The location is ok, most of the Taxi can't find the hotel. 7) the only credit point are, the b/f are Ok !the staff (owner?) are friendly..."

"The Taste was pretty good however we were given a room that felt like a store room (no windows at all) which felt pretty claustraphobic. Luckily we only stayed one night. However it was very clean, the staff were friendly and it was overall good value for money. If I was to stay again I would definatly ask for a room with a window though. "

"Our stay at The Taste had been another wonderful positiv experience on Thailand. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very cool and stylish, breakfast ist great and we will definitely stay there again, whenever we make it back to Phuket. Thanks to the team!"

"Go to the Taste (formerly The XVI) if you are ready for a "modern interior architectural experience". Rooms are small and windowless, but tastefully decorated in a simple minimalist style. Would feet the "urban-yuppie" crowd on a budget. Staff is helpful and can arrange boat tickets to Phi-Phi as well as airport pick-up/drop-off."
