I have two complaints which I mentioned in the "satisfaction survey form" left in each room:
I find unusual and frankly outrageous to be asked to pay 100 baht per person to use what is pompously called an exercise room: there were only 3-4 devices there when I checked it out.
I wonder why they have to have grass cut on Sundays when the resort is full of people who might prefer to enjoy the premises without being bothered by the noise and the pollution caused by the grass-cutting tractor. Why not doing this during the week?
As often in Thailand, the convenience of the management takes precedence over the guests'comfort.

| "Hotel was very beautiful with nice surrounding garden area. Room was spacious with nice terrace overlooking the sea. Service also was good but a few things bothered us quite a bit. Prices were high at the restaurants, room didnīt have a safetybox but most of all on the day of departure we asked if we could check out 2 pm instead of 12 noon.....it was not possible even if the hotel honestly was occupied less than 50%. That really left us with a bad feeling even if the property itself had impressed us before that. We hope that hotelīs personel will be given some flexibility in cases like this. Iīm quite sure nobody cleaned our room before 2 pm anyway, so it was not really a big favour to ask specially whan hotel was half empty.

| "The location is very beautiful and amenities at the hotel are good (especially the pool). However, it was difficult to leave the hotel to go into the town because taxis are few and far between. The rooms could also do with an upgrade." |

| "Whilst living in Thailand we often went to Rayong Resort to use the restaurants and pool. It is an idylic hotel in an idylic setting. Our first ever stay however was a disappointment. The 'deluxe' room was buzzing with mosquitos when we checked in. Apart from the carpet, the furnishings were well worn and somewhat shabby. The main restaurant was closed but the bar food was ok. Although there were only a dozen or so guests we were all put on the same wing, same floor, our 'neighbour' was a loud Thai who seemed to use the bathroom every hour on the hour and turned on the TV full blast at 4.00 am.
I shall certainly return to the hotel but not to stay overnight

| "Before flying THAILAND I sent a mail (may) to the hotel (then a letter) asking a question about a "promotion" they displayed on the Web hotel site. I did not got any answer from the hotel.
Despite this fact, I booked one month later with Asia Room and we stayed with friends(2 deluxe room) 4 nights from july 27 to july 31.
Hotel is miles away from anything and without a car you are "trapped".
Beach is ugly (this is not the fault of the hotel) with rocks.
My friends (as nights were windy) had to change of room because of wind coming in the room in a noisy way through the bay window. The second room was not better and staff had to come to put some rubson between parts of bay window.
Bathrooms are old and water was of some yellow color one morning. I noticed moisture on wall between bedroom and bathroom.
In bedroom there was old paperbook and timetable of years 2004 and 2005 ...
In bathroom you heard everything from people in adjacent bathroom or bedroom (crying babies for example).
The first 3 morning they was a buffet for breakfast (below average) but last morning they was no buffet at all and you have to ask for eggs to staff. Everything is quoted in high price and this hotel is just an old 3 stars hotel which needs complete refurbishing and improvment.
We met other friends who stayed in NOVOTEL CORALIA RAYONG : they paid less for a much nicer hotel with a sandy beach and I was angry about myself to have booked in RAYONG RESORT.
The only thing was that hotel was almost desert during 2 days and we got swimming pools for ourselves (3 people).
I used to stay in some 5 stars hotels such as SHANGRI LA (BANGKOK) and in 2 stars resort as SMILE HOUSE (SAMUI)and I enjoyed my stay in this very different kind of hotels.
But I do not appreciate to pay a rather high price for such poor quality as in RAYONG RESORT.
I took pictures of all noticed items about RAYONG RESORT ...
I shall not stay again." |
