The Amazing Race around Adelaide is held all through the city in South Australia, where participants have clues, challenges and options, like they do in TV shows. It is fun and challenging for the participants where planned activities are kept confidential but the theme is always Adelaide and South Australia. The added events include: cultural, historic and popular local icons. The Amazing Race around Adelaide is scheduled to take place on Sunday February 25, 2007. Competitors in teams of two can enter the event by filling up an entry form with a registration fee of $20. In each team, at least one member must be over 18. The primary purpose of the Amazing Race around Adelaide is to have fun, celebrate the spirit of the city and raise awareness and funds for Deaf SA, and, of course, win prizes. Each team will have, until February 10, to fundraise at least $150, as part of the race requirements. This can be done through chocolate sales, a collection tin at the participant's home or business, personal sponsorship etc. The terms and conditions of the Amazing Race around Adelaide require: - The participant should adhere to the rules of the race, the failure of which will result in disqualification from both the race as well as the claim to the prizes. - Every participant competing in the Amazing Race around Adelaide must obey traffic rules and be responsible for their own safety. Deaf SA accepts no responsibility for any loss or injury occurring during the course of the event. - Each team must raise the fund before the deadline, the failure of which will be resulting in disqualification. - By submitting the application, each participant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless Deaf SA from all claims and damages arising from their participation in the process or the event itself.
