The Adelaide Festival of Ideas takes place in the month of July every year at various places including North Tce which is considered to be the cultural epitome of Australia. This celebration encompasses round initiation and promotion of novel ideas. This event started way back in the year of 1960 by two visionary namely Sir Lloyd Dumas and Sir Thomas Playford. Together they dreamt of a new world and a new day. John Bishop even played a crucial part in promoting this event. In the year of 1960, they convinced the director of the Artist of the Edinburgh Festival for aid and assistance. The patron of the entire stage show was Her Majesty.

For the first time there were 74 adult participants and 31 child performers. The success was sky rocketing which drew attention from all corners of Australia. In the contemporary days, the popularity of Adelaide Festival of Ideas crossed even the continent of Asia to be in the American landmass. This particular festivity comprise of lectures, forums, work shops, seminars and vocational courses.
