The Adelaide Botanic Garden is one of the most famous and notable gardens located on the Adelaide Plains. This garden has a dry Mediterranean climate and alkaline soils. The garden is popular for many native and different varieties of exotic plants. Some of the popular collections of the garden that are displayed to the public includes palms, cycads, bromeliads and many other fabulous trees and shrubs. Different species of plants, which grow in the Rainforest, are grown in the Bicentennial Conservatory. Arid Madagascan plants are also grown in the popular Palm House. Nature lovers from all over the world love to pay a visit to this garden and spend some quality time amidst nature. To know more about the garden the visitors can take part in the garden walks. This walk is ideal to explore the garden in its entirety. These walks can be availed by the visitors daily from 10:30 am. But the walks cannot be availed by the visitors on Christmas and Good Friday.
This Adelaide Botanic Garden conducts many educational and scientific programs on plant. Approximately 25,000 students come to its venue as a part of their educational excursions .In this venue they get to know about different types of exotic and native plants and their importance in day to day's life. The garden has a huge collection of both exotic and native plants like palms, endangered cycads and other type of floras.
Opening timings:
On weekdays the Adelaide Botanic Garden remains opened from 7:15 am for its visitors. And on weekends and public holidays the park opens at 9:00 am in the morning. Moreover the closings time of the park vary throughout the year.
