Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville
Adelaide has a number of sightseeing places each unique in its own way. The Victoria Square is a public square located in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. This square has been named after Princess Victoria by the Street Naming Committee on May 23, 1837. Victoria Square, Adelaide is one of the famous tourist destinations.

Sliced into grassy chunks by the paths of King William Street and Grote Street, Victoria Square is a busy area in the heart of Adelaide City. In the center of the Victoria Square, Adelaide is a statue of Queen Victoria. The three rivers, the Torrens, the Onkaparinga and the Murray from which Adelaide receives the maximum water are represented in the fountain in the north of the square John Dowie. This fountain was built to mark the 1963 visit of her great, great grand-daughter, Elizabeth. The Victoria Square is circumvented by a number of important public institutions like the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Adelaide Magistrate's Court, the Federal Court of Australia, the Treasury and the Adelaide General Post Office. The Roman Catholic Cathedral Church of St Francis Xavier is located on the eastern side. You can check out all these places once you are in Victoria Square. Once home to many community organizations, the Torres Building today is taken up by the Heinz School Australia which is an international campus of Carnegie-Mellon University. The famous Adelaide Central Market is situated to the west of the square. The Central Market is one of the biggest markets in Australia. You will get everything here. The Victoria Square has a lovely garden. Here you can stroll and breath the fresh air. You can also leave for Glenelg, by boarding in the Glenelg tram or simply to sit and watch the city chase its tail.

Victoria Square, Adelaide is a historical destination. You will miss the charm of the city, if you don't come here.
