The Adelaide Dominic Versace Wines was set up by a gentleman called Dominic Versace and his wife Maria. The couple, in the year 1980, bought a 14-acre plot of land near MacDonald Park in Adelaide. He set up a vineyard that produced good quality wines that were sent to some of the best wineries of the city. Dominic Versace and his brother-in-law, named Armando, together started producing commercial wines in Kangaroo Island from 1990 onwards. The huge success of this venture led them to create their own brand of wines, thus leading to the birth of the Adelaide Dominic Versace Wines in the year 2000.
The wines produced in the place are of the best quality. They are free from any chemical and artificial fertilizers. They are rich in quality, texture as well as in taste. Visitors can come to the Dominic Versace Wines in Adelaide and try out the different varieties of wines produced in this winery. Some of the different kinds of wines that are worth trying include Casalingo, Ruspantino Sangiovese, Rossini Rose, Premium Vintage Cuvee, Cabernet Sauvignon, Unwooded Chardonnay, Shiraz and others. Besides tasting the wines, you can take a tour around the vineyards. You can take a look at the grapes and enjoy the picturesque view of the entire Adelaide plains.
The Adelaide Dominic Versace Wines has a barbecue area where you can get to eat delicious food along with the wine of your choice. Visit to this vineyard is possible only by prior appointment. It has a sales counter from where you can buy your favorite wine. Other facilities include car parking area, picnic area and parking for the disabled.
