The Classic Jet Fighter Museum, Adelaide looks more like a workshop than a museum. A large number of visitors come to this place everyday to take a look at the ancient and modern day fighter planes that were used by the Royal Australian Air force and the Royal Australian Navy.
You can come over here and take a look at the huge collection of fighter planes that were built between 1950 and 1980. Some of the most famous displays of the museum include Avon-Sabre A94-974, F8 Gloster Meteor A77-867, DH Sea Venom WZ-939 and others. One of the biggest attractions of the Classic Jet Fighter Museum at Adelaide is the well maintained and preserved P38 Lockheed Lightning and the Bell P39 Airacobra fighter aircraft that were used during the Second World War. These have renovated and repaired to restore them to their present condition. Visitors are allowed to touch these huge aircrafts. Another attraction of the museum is the remains of the Curtiss P40 Kittyhawk, displayed in the hanger floor amidst a jungle backdrop.
The Classic Jet Fighter Museum, Adelaide is open from Wednesdays to Sundays. The visiting hours are from 10:0 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and entry is not free of cost. A large number of exhibitions, workshops and film shows are regularly held in this amazing museum, which attracts a large number of people to this place everyday.
