Experimental Art Foundation, Adelaide is a non-profit organization, which was established in the year 1974 with the view of promoting contemporary visual arts and giving a platform to the artists of the country to showcase their talent and skills. The foundation conducts a large number of exhibitions, shows, seminars, workshops, and conferences regularly to promote and develop art and art practices.
The entire building houses a bookstore, a magnificent art gallery and an art studio. The paintings and other artistic creations are displayed beautifully in the art gallery. You can get to see a large collection of modern visual art made by both amateur as well as experts. You can marvel at the use of color and the unique theme used in these paintings. Exhibitions are held every month in the art gallery in the Experimental Art Foundation in Adelaide. You can also pay a visit to the art bookshop. Here you can browse through the wide collection of books related to art. If you are interested to learn more about art in South Australia and other parts of the country and the world, then you can go through the books found in the library. The library houses nearly 3000 books. You can find books related to modern visual arts, films, literature and culture. A large number of art workshops are also held over here. The numerous art workshops and other programs conducted by the Experimental Art Foundation are aimed at the professional development of the artists of South Australia.
The Experimental Art Foundation is closed on Mondays and is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while on Saturdays, it is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
