Higher Grounds Inc, Adelaide is aimed at promoting art and culture amongst the people of the country and enable outsiders to learn more about the Australian art and culture. This art center serves as a popular venue for numerous art exhibitions, live music performances, cabaret dance shows theatre performances, comedy shows and a host of other events that will surely enthrall you.
Entertainment programs are held in Higher Ground Inc almost everyday. On Thursdays, you can attend the Character Jam comedy shows hosted by Sam McMahon, while on Wednesdays you can attend the live jazz music performances and the dancing competition hosted by Monski Mouse. On Sunday afternoons, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. you can attend the world music performances. Here you can get to listen to different types of music like Persian, Indian, Gypsy, Yiddish and others. These cultural shows are filled with fun and excitement and provides hours of entertainment. A large number of art exhibitions are also held in the Foyer Exhibition Space from time to time.
There is also a café and a bar in the Higher Ground Inc in Adelaide. The café is named Culture Café while the bar is known as The Buddha Bar. You can catch up with your friends over here and chat with them while enjoying a cup of coffee or trying out the delicious snacks served over here. You can try out ten beers, pastas, frittate, sandwiches and other delicacies available in the eating-house.
Entry to the Higher Ground Inc is absolutely free, except in case of events where tickets are required. It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays and operating hours are from 12:00 noon till midnight.
