Belair National Park is located about 13kms away from the Adelaide city center. The park has beautifully engulfs in itself flora, fauna and rich colonial heritage. The park is nestled within Mitcham and Adelaide Hills Council.

This popular park is also home to the different endangered species of fauna found over here. Located in the Mount Lofty Ranges, this area is the natural habitat to some of the endangered species. The Belair Park is the home to about 15 different species of mammals. Some of the popular mammals includes the Short-beaked Echidna, Common Ringtail Possum, Common Brush tail Possum, Yellow-footed Antechinus, Western Grey Kangaroo, Red Kangaroo, Southern Brown Bandicoot, Koala, Bush Rat and different other species of bat. The park also are has Fox, Cat, Rabbit, Hare, Black Rat and House Mouse residing out there. The park is also popular for some of the most endangered species of reptiles found here. Some reptiles, which are found in this park, include the Shingle-back and the Bearded Dragon, Eastern Blue-tongue Lizard and the Eastern Brown Snake. The visitors can find different species of birds chirping all around in the park. There are about 130 species of birds in this park. The major birds found in this park includes Australian Grebe, Little Pied Cormorant, White-faced Heron, Pacific Black Duck, Maned Duck, Australian Hobby, Dusky Moorhen, Galah, Red-rumped Parrot, Kookaburra, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Scarlet Robin, Superb Fairy-wren, Red-browed Fire tail and Magpie Lark. The park is also famous world wide for the flora, which is found over there. Some of the popular flora includes Grey Box Eucalyptus microcarpa, South Australian Blue Gum Eucalyptus leucoxylon and River Red Gum Eucalyptus camaldulensis.
