Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, Adelaide located on 35 acres of land, is protected by feral-proof fencing. As the result the birds and animals can live in their natural habitat without any hindrance. Some of the popular animals you may come across in this park includes Red Kangaroo, Rufous Bettong, Koala, Bilby, tammar wallaby, potoroo, brush tail possum, red necked wallaby, western grey kangaroo, woylie, ringtail possum, southern brown bandicoot. Another major attraction of the park is the animal shows, which are regularly held over there. Tourists from far off places come to view these programs which are held at 11 am and at 2pm.to enjoy the animal show the park charges $8 for adults,$5 for children and $20 for family. You can also go for the self guided walks or nocturnal walks in this venue. This walks are conducted from 9am till dusk.
This Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, Adelaide is also one of the popular spot for excursions. Primary and secondary level students love to visit this venue and see the rare species of animals in their habitat. This park is also popular for its flora.
The park is also popular for celebrating special events like Valentine's Day. The restaurant remains open for its visitors from 6pm. You can enjoy mouthwatering cuisines, wines and undertake nocturnal walk with your beloved out in this venue.
While on a trip to the park it is always advisable to bring sunscreen lotion, hat and first aid box with you. The park is also famous for its beautiful landscapes so the visitors should bring extra camera reels with them to take photographs of these exotic locations.
Opening timings:
The park remains open from 9am to 9pm on all days of a week .but on Good Friday and Christmas day the park remains closed for the visitors.
