Situated in the Northern Territory, Australia, The Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment, Alice Springs has four art galleries. The arts museum includes a large collection of paintings from a great variety of artists, including a selection of watercolours and works by Albert Namatjira. At this centre, there is a crafts centre inclusive with ceramics, stained glass, painting and fabric-working workshops. The front window to the arts portion of the centre is a huge, indigenous, stained-glass work of art.Travelling art, for example the annual Beanie Festival, is held there.
The theatre of The Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment, Alice Springs hosts live performances of dance, music and drama. International and independent movies are shown in the theater, which has almost five hundred seats.
The natural history section of the centre concentrates on Aboriginal culture and geology, and placed in another building with the Strelhow Research Centre for Aboriginal Culture, it displays many locally found minerals, explains geologic formations of the area. Close to The Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment, Alice Springs, is the Aviation Museum, which contains planes and radio equipment and the house to the local ham radio group.
