The Tattersall's Finke Desert Race that is held in Alice Springs every year is Australia's fastest desert race for bikes, cars and buggies. Not only does the race receive thousands of entries from across the globe it is also a popular spectacle for many who camp along the 235km of track from Alice Springs to Finke (Aputula Community).

The race takes place during the Queen's Birthday weekend celebrations on the second weekend of June.
