For almost 40, 000 years this area of Alice Springs is a traditional "meeting place" for the dealing of Aboriginal artifacts, knowledge, Aboriginal art and Aboriginal culture.
Today the visitors can experience the exciting living culture of Aboriginal people at this unique centre called Aboriginal Australia Culture Centre. There are number of tours owned and operated by Aboriginal enterprise known as Pwerte Marnte Marnte Aboriginal Corporation, a Southern Arrernte Tribal group, therefore authenticity is guaranteed.
The Aboriginal Australia Culture Centre or the Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre is owned and managed by the Pwerte Marnte Marnte Aboriginal Corporation. Aboriginal people have a community that based 80km south of Alice Springs. The Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre is an enterprise, which is established to finance the operations on the homelands of Aboriginal people by providing employment, housing, infrastructure, water and power.
At Aboriginal Art Gallery in Aboriginal Australia Culture Centre, more than 100 central Australian artists create paintings throughout the year. Name of the few artists are:
