Alice Springs or "The Alice" is the entrance to Australia's heart and
documented as the 'Centre of Australia'. Situated 1524 km from Darwin and 293
km north of the South Australian border, Alice Springs is the second major town

There are different Museums in Alice Springs and one of them is Royal Flying
Doctor Service. Alice Springs is the main base for Royal Flying Doctor Service
that treats people living and traveling in the immense backwoods. An exciting
20-minute tour runs every half-hour, including a video and a talk in the communications
room and allow another 30 minutes to look around the small museum. Some of the
recorded conversations between doctors and patients are fascinating.

Southern Arrernte Aboriginal people are set up the Aboriginal Australia Culture
Centre, which houses a small, interesting museum with exhibits on Aboriginal
life. This museum displays a timeline of the Aboriginal view of history since
"contact" (the arrival of Europeans). If you are interested in indigenous
cultures then it is a must-see destination.
