To imbibe the March pizzazz come to the Blue Mountain Festival of Folks, Roots and Blues come to Kotoomba, Australia. The Festival is about to rock the New South Wales as the stage is set on fire with country blues. The Festival is celebrated country style with traditional folk bands, a capella groups, singer-songwriters, guitar wizards, gypsy fiddlers, raging blues concoctions - Irish, Scottish, Bluegrass, jug, swing, Balkan, Italian and more.
Come March 12 the weekend would be animated with sounds of acoustic guitars, dobros, mandolins, fiddles, accordions, concertinas, bouzoukis, banjos, pianos, drums, percussion, flutes, pipes, whistles and voices. The Folk festivals, Blues festivals, World Music Festivals all make up this wonderful Festival called Blue Mountain Festival of Folks, Roots and Blues. The festival gives the non commercial songs a platform from where they can develop and grow manifold. A festival with a difference, were dazzling costumes, hi-fi gizmos and laser lights does not set the ambience for hearty songs. You get to revel in muddy grounds, stomp, and hum and make merry to your hearts content with your companions. For the three days from March12, it's almost as the golden days are back again while you spend moments in complete nostalgia as the music flows!
Food and craft stalls, the Denis Kevans poets' breakfast, and children's entertainment are some of the features of this unique hoi polloi festival.
