The 263 kilometers of Great Ocean Road in Australia lies along the south- eastern part of the continent in between Victoria and Geelong. The Geelong Aviation Airport has Australia's cheapest flights to and from Sydney and Brisbane. From the airport area you can get a number of shuttle buses that take you to the Great Ocean Road. There are also regular flights from Melbourne.

The Great Ocean Road can be accessed through a number o0f buses that run from almost all the major cities of Australia. A majority of these buses come to Melbourne from where it takes some 12 hours to reach the place. Trains from different capital cities arrive at Melbourne's Spencer Street from which it takes 55 minutes to Geelong. The Peninsular seaboard ferry operates hourly service to the Philip Island and the Wilson's Promontory National Park

The Great Ocean Road of Australia with its amazing oceanic views, unspoilt coastlines, and maritime villages excels as a unique tourist attraction. The journey from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road is one of the most scenic drives along the stunning coastlines of Australia.

The vast expanse of the coastline that embraces the entire stretch of the Port Campbell National Park of Great Ocean Road is a feast for the eyes. The Tower Hill State Game Reserve that houses a wide spectrum of wild life is a beautiful place to visit. The Sovereign Hill is a nice spot where you can take a ride in the horse- drawn carriage.

The picture-perfect Great Ocean Road is an excellent to take some o f the best photographs. In addition to sea watching, the place makes swimming, golfing and fishing as the major attractions for tourists. Horse riding on the beaches stands out to be another attractive option before tourists. Another loved option before the tourists is dining which should definitely include a glass of wine. The weekend markets are an excellent place to freak out. If you enjoy shopping then the local handicrafts are the best thing to buy.
