About the Mowbray Park: The Mowbray Park had been constructed by the Brisbane City Council in East Brisbane, Lytton Street with the intention to preserve open areas for public activities when the place began to be thronged with houses. The park has beautiful walkways lined with green trees and all of them meet at the centre of the Mowbray Park.

- A finely carved War Memorial adds to the splendor of the Mowbray Park. The war Memorial consists of a sandstone statute of an Australian Light Horseman with his rifle pointing upwards. Four large marble tablets are attached to the pedestal and on them are inscribed five hundred and twenty names. There are also canons set in the base and each bears the Royal Monogram of Queen Victoria.
- An adjoining swimming pool and a landing stage along with it is also a part of the Mowbray Park.
- There is also a boathouse located in the northeastern part of the Mowbray Park. It is single storeyed and is covered with a terracotta-tiled roof.
