The New Farm Park, Brisbane that covers about 37 acres of land was earlier a farm that supplied food for the convict settlement on the Brisbane river. Later the place also functioned as a racecourse and remained so till the land was acquired by the Brisbane City Council for the construction of the Park in 1913. The place is noted for its rose gardens, which consists of a wide variety of beautiful roses.

Location: The New Farm Park is located in the suburb of New Farm in Brisbane on Burnswick Street.

How to reach: The Park is only 10 minutes away from the Brisbane city. The Park can be reached by car as well as by foot. There is a City Cat stop near the place and also a bus stop next to the Powerhouse. The two main pedestrian entrances are Dixon Street, the corner of Sydney Street and Burnswick Street.

About the New Farm Park, Brisbane: The park was initially designed by Henry Moore who is a horticulturalist as well as a landscape designer and it has continued to develop new features like barbeques and jogging areas with the passage of time in order to cater to new demands. The redesigning of the park was done by Henry Oakman. The park is open for 24 hours a day and there is no entry charge.

- The Park is covered by a wide variety of trees including jacarandas, poincianas, figs, palms and coral trees.
