ABOUT THE REDLANDS REGION, BRISBANE:

Named after the color of the soil, The Redland soil is red due to iron oxide in it, a residue of the lava from a volcano that erupted near the Bay area, ages ago. One of the first areas in Queensland to be settled, Redlands on Moreton Bay enjoys very fertile soil and used to boast a thriving agrarian community.
