Sandgate Theatre stages its performances at the Sandgate Town Hall, which is located at the corner of Brighton Road and Seymour Street of Sandgate. Brisbane's Sandgate Theatre is still carrying the good work that started during the 1950s. At present, the theatre is operational under the name of Sandgate Theatre Inc. This well reputed theatre group is dedicated to produce and perform around two to three major plays in a year. Each of the productions presented by this group of dedicated theatre professionals rely on the talent, extreme hard work and dedication of each and every member of the group.

This is an enjoyable musical play, which is presented with a lip smacking three course meals. Then there is the One Acts. In these performances, a collection of one-act plays and short theatrical episodes are put together as a single performance. You can go and take part in the Yarrageh Drama Festival. The amateur theatre groups from all of South-East Queensland take part in this festival at Sandgate and bring you the best one-act plays produced by them.

Sandgate Theatre of Brisbane performs plays that are quite diverse in nature. The performances range from serious dramas to hilarious comedies. Current admission fees are quite reasonable. Adults need to pay 15 dollars. But for the students, unemployed, pensioners and groups of ten or more, the entry fee is discounted, i.e. 12 dollars.
