The Central Station is the heart of the CityTrain service network. Unlike other rail systems, the trains run by this network do not terminate at the Central Business District of Brisbane. CityTrain services come under the broad gamut of TransLink public transport scheme. The fully electrified CityTrain network covers 143 stations and extends to the famous Gold Coast which is beyond the Brisbane city limits and its immediate vicinity.
