ABOUT BISHOPSBOURNE, BRISBANE: Formerly the Anglican archbishops' residence in Brisbane Bishopsbourne is a handsome single storey stone mansion in the western suburb of the city. This historic building, built in 1869, has been home to Anglican Archbishops right down to the present incumbent, Philip Aspinal. In 2006 Bishopsbourne was sold off by the Church. The present Archbishop now stays eleswhere with his family. A simple, roughhewn chapel stands adjacent Bishopsbourne in Brisbane . Both buildings are now part of St Francis Theological College.
