Built in 1904, the Webber House in Brisbane is an excellent piece of originative architecture and was built by John Mudroch and Robin Dods. The structure takes its name from Bishop Webber who was the main force behind the development of the Cathedral Complex. The building is now used as a Christian bookstore.
History of Webber House : Stones were reused from the Saint John's pro-Cathedral to lay the foundation stone of what was originally meant to be the Cathedral Schools and Church Institute. Many other things including the main doors, windows and roof binds. From 1936 to 1941, The Sisters of the Sacred Advent ran a school in the building premises. The place was used simultaneously as a medical center and a Cathedral meeting hall during the Second World Wars. Much later the building was recreated and named as the Webber House.

• The Webber House is a three storeyed building
• The roofs, doors and windows emanate a gothic essence whereas on the whole, the architecture of the building shows some influence of the contemporary art and craft movement.
• Steep Gable roofs.
• The stonework comes along in the lower part of the construction up to the top of the first level and then appears in strips and about the window openings in the brickwork higher up.
• A broad staircase in the interior of the building leads up to all the floors.
• Use of fraying stonework.
