Johnny Rockets Restaurant Brisbane

Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville

Australian cuisine is the most diverse in terms of quality and inventiveness than most countries of the world. However, before sprouting from the culture of meat pies, sandwiches, and sausage rolls to that of seared kangaroo fillet with wilted beetroot greens and roasted onions, the culinary art of Australia already rested on the most adventurous in the world. The scenario underwent a revamp in the 1990s, with a swarm of new restaurants defining the ‘Modern Australia cuisine'. AsiaRooms.com is here offering you all the information regarding Johnny Rockets Restaurant, Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia.

Johnny Rockets is an American restaurant which is a dealer in burgers and it aims to recreate the American malt shops of the 1940s and the 1950s. The décor includes coin-operated jukeboxes, chrome accents and red leather seats; customers are waited upon by staffs who are attired in periodic costumes. On request, they also sing and dance, curl straws, and make ketchup smileys. Menu items include: hamburgers, shakes, sandwiches, malts and breakfast. This eatery was founded on June 6, 1986 by Ronn Teitelbaum of Los Angeles, California. Johnny Rockets has worldwide chains in Canada, Kuwait, Dubai, Bahrain and Australia.

The Johnny Rockets craze prevailed in Australia between the early and mid 1990s. This ‘50s style hamburger joint has its waiters wearing period or classic costumes and ‘rock and rolling' to the requests of the customers who would love to intone their dinner with an old number. Once you are there, make sure you go for ‘salad' on your burger, for that means shredded beets and carrots. However, this place in Brisbane is as good as the ones in the US and the one in the regional city of Cairns. The quaint motif, far from outdating itself, serves to accentuate your penchant for the full-sized American burger.

The mini jukeboxes at each table are the source of a welcome diversion and they are definitely worth a couple of dollars for they enable you having a swing to the old melodies. The primary difference between the burgers in the US and the one in Brisbane is that the Aussie ones arrive complete with the beetroot on them. You will however be better off with just a cheeseburger, some fried chips and vanilla coke!
