The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane ranks amongst the world's largest and the first of all the koala sanctuaries. It is the home to about 130 koalas and for those who visit the place, the experience is unforgettable. You can feed the kangaroos and cuddle them as and when you like. You can also enjoy a huge variety of the native Australian wildlife amongst the beautiful natural settings. Location: it is just about 50 minutes distance from the Gold Coast. Attractions: you can see the huge varieties of animals like snakes, porcupines, koalas, echidnas, Rainbow Lorikeet, dingo, kangaroo and lots more. How to reach: it is very convenient to reach Lone Pine. There is the Mirimar boat cruise that departs from the Cultural Centre Pontoon at 10 am everyday. There are different programs for children in the age group of 1 to 7, kindergarten to 3 years, 3 to 7 years, and 4 to 7 years.
