The Zoo is located on the exquisite Sunshine Coast near the Glasshouse Mountains. It is just about 45 minutes drive from the north of Brisbane right on the Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive.

The crocodiles
The crocodiles are the main attraction in Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, Brisbane. "THE CROCODILE HUNTER" is a special section and your visit to this particular enclosure will surely be a cause of great amazement and sheer thrill. There are different shows held from 10 am to 3 pm every day. The morning starts off with the feeding shows where you get to see the ferocious creatures being fed. This is one aspect that will really make the visit to this Zoo a memorable experience. It is surely going to exceed all expectations but the point to be kept in mind is that if you are eager to catch a glimpse of this feeding session you should reach the place early. The Zoo grounds are enormous but it is always better to get a front row vision.
You can spend about six hours in the zoo and watch how snakes are handled. The handlers will also give you the opportunity to get "acquainted" with them.
There is also a theme park will give the experience of the Australian wilderness and you will surely enjoy it.
Schedules:
There are tours that take you to the zoo daily. The tour starts off from the Australian Day Tours counter, Level 3, Brisbane Transit Centre, Roma Street, Brisbane at 9:15 am. The tour ends at about 5:30 pm. Meals are excluded. The prices vary according to age and the particular season that one is going in.
