Relax at the beaches, feel the soft sand as you walk along the sandy beaches or let the waves carry you- the place is there to mesmerize you. The Holloways Beach of Cairns is one of the best residential beaches in the Queensland region. Tough the beach is narrow and is currently undergoing a phase of erosion, it has managed to attract a great number of tourists from all over the world. With this erosion problem becoming a serious issue, the residents and the local council of the beach have risen to the occasion to fight unanimously this problem of erosion. Attractions
The beach that spreads over an area of a few meters in width is lovely spot to chill and rest in complete in ease. While sitting ideally on the beach, you can see the locals coming to the beach area for a walk along with their dogs. At the same time have a great time seeing the beach activities. Or if these are of least interest to you, simply enjoy basking in the sun and give a tanned look to yourself.
If the crowd does not please you, just move to the roundabout located at the Beach Park. Location
The Holloways Beach is located at a distance of 15 minutes north of Cairns in Far North Queensland. Take the Captain Cook highway north from where you would reach the roundabout with the sign of Holloways beach.
Warning
During the stinger season, the stinger nets are spread. As such it is always recommended to swim along the shores to avoid unnecessary hazards. Accommodations
