The Australian Federal Police Museum in Canberra preserves the history of the work done by Australian Federal Police in taking care of National security and makes the general people aware of its heritage. The Museum is also responsible for various research works, publications and many traveling and off-site exhibitions as well. The Australian Federal Police Museum opened in 1994.

Address: The Australian Federal Police Museum is located at Western Police Complex and is closed for public as it is supposed to change its venue. The museum will be reopened in the new location in 2008. The museum is now open only to research enquiries on appointment.


Collections of the museum: The Australian Federal Police Museum's collection includes various items like uniforms, flags, weapons, equipments, forensic reports of special cases, photographs, vehicles, documents and lots more. There is also a Landrover from Cyprus and a cricket bat signed by Doanld Bradman and the Prime Minister Robert Menzies. A boat sowing the imprints of smuggled drug packets is on for display.
