Australia's Canberra Railway Museum is located quite close to Canberra Railway Station, at the end of the Cunningham Street at Geijira Place.
Timings
- The museum is open from 1 pm-4pm on Sundays as well as public holidays.
- The museum is open 11am-4pm on the last Sunday of every month, when you get rail motor rides from the railway platform.

Ticket prices range from a nominal 3 Aus $ to 10 Aus $.

Some of the fascinating features of this museum are:
- A ride in quaint American style end-platform carriages and dog-box carriages that were in vogue before electric trains came to Canberra
- Steam locomotives, including the historical 1210, that towed the first train into Canberra
- Photographs and memorabilia of the railways of the Canberra and Monaro districts
- Two vintage 'Tin Hare' rail motors. You get to ride one of them from the Museum to Flyshwick on the last Sunday of every month!
