Canberra Space Dome Observatory is a very important tourist destination in Canberra and has attracted people from all over the world. The dome is a part of the Downer Club and has been the brainchild of Clare Williams who has created the Dome. The dome is famous for offering a wide variety of educational and informative programs Attractions: This is the only such place in Canberra which offers some multimedia shows like magnificent projections of the galaxy and the world beyond. The Space dome has many star fields with some amazing quality of digital sound. The dome also consists of telescopes like 41cm Newtonian with a 17.5cm Astro -Physics Star fire and many more. A fascinating astronomy complex is also at a stone's throw distance from the complex attached to the Downer Club in Dickson 4km from Canberra City Center. There are also other telescopes like Celestron C14 (in a 4.2mDome). Accommodation is provided for 70 people. The observatory Gallery connects all the domes and features all astronomical subjects.
