Commonwealth Park Canberra

Sprawling over 34.25 hectares of land, Commonwealth Park is a breathing space in the midst of busy Canberra. Situated at the northern end of Burley Griffin Lake this picturesque park is popular with both Canberrans as well as tourist who visit the place. This park was designed by Dame Sylvia Crowe, a famous landscape designer, in 1964. The park includes Regatta Point and has various small ponds, bike paths walking tracks and also holds outdoor concerts at its Stage 88. Commonwealth Park is the venue of an annually held Spring Floriade Festival of Canberra.

- The Canadian flagpole - is a gift from the Canadian government to Australia, and every year a Canadian flag is raised on the first of July (Canada Day).
- Memorial to pioneer women - this is a large seat designed by Margaret Hendry.
