Women's Golf NSW is the regulating body for the female amateur golfers in the capital city of Australia. The Women's Golf Club was set up with an attempt to promote golf among the potential women golfers in the Australian Capital Territory. The Women's golf Club has opened up the opportunities of playing or learning the techniques of the sport within a social and compatible environment. The Women's Golf in New South Wales provides the female golfers with ample playing opportunities and encourages them to participate in the organized competitions more frequently. The factors that played major role behind the creation of Women's Golf Club, NSW in the year 1999, primarily dealt with the problems of potential women golfers in ACT. Those factors are as follows: - Females who want to participate in golf but do not have any idea about where to start. - Female golfers who are experienced golfers and play regularly on a social basis and want to get the benefit from an organized institution and willing to become member of a registered golf organization and acquire a handicap. - Female players who are short of time to play golf on a regular basis and justify expenditure for membership in a golf club. - Women players who are not willing to join golf club before attaining a certain level of efficiency. The Women's Golf Club in New South Wales is considered to be the ground for fostering the future female golfers in Canberra. The Women's Golf NSW in Canberra hosts a number of events through out the year to ensure greater participation of its members. The most exciting event in 2007 is going to be the Women's/Mixed Weekend Tournament at the Golf Club in the Hunter Valley. Teams. The event will occur on 19th and 20th of May. Teams participating in the competition may be either woman/woman or woman/man. The next biggest event of the year, organized by the Women's Golf Club in New South Wales will be the third annual Women's Vintage Weekend Tournament.
