How to Get in

Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville
Set in an extensive valley in the southern tablelands of New South Wales, Canberra is a well-planned lakeside city of parklands, impressive restaurants, beautiful bushland and leafy suburbs. Being the capital of Australia, the city is well connected to the cities of Australia and the outside world and getting to Canberra is most convincing.

Canberra is easily reached by the main highway between Australia' two largest cities, the Hume Highway. The trip takes about 3 hrs from Sydney and about 6 1/2 from Melbourne. The flights between Canberra to/from Sydney and Melbourne are frequent and relatively cheap.

Canberra is accessible by train from Sydney but not Melbourne. The journey is slower than the bus, but a little cheaper and a lot more comfortable.
