The Darwin Fringe Festival, Darwin is a yearly performance and arts festival, which offers performance opportunities for visiting national and international artists at the same time as helping and motivating local cultural art and artists. More than hundreds performers and artists from all over the Northern Territory and outside came to Darwin for the yearly Fringe Festival of the city. Every year, the Darwin Fringe Festival, Darwin starts with a festivity, which includes jazz, DJs, rock and rap acts and concludes with The Final Fringe Frolic, which includes lunch, tunes and special activities. The Darwin Fringe Festival, Darwin is an open festival, where anyone can participate. This festival is the most important yearly exhibition to promote and encourage the arts scene of Darwin. It is a place, where interstate and overseas artists are invited to pool resources and share skills and platforms with local artists as part of the festival. The aim of this festival is to give opportunities for local artists and cultural organizations and to:
- Encourage collaboration and skills sharing within the local environment;
- Develop and present new work;
- Expand current arts audiences and;

From a Fringe Club Cabaret Night, the Darwin Fringe Festival, Darwin developed as a strong and active contributor to the Darwin arts and cultural scene. At present, this festival is an important part of the Brown's Mart Community Arts' annual program and the Northern Territory's arts and culture calendar.
