Orchid Spectacular

Be at the Northern Territory's Orchid Spectacular, Darwin and bedazzled by the exhibition of tropical blooms at their finest. Relax in the colorful yet most serene atmosphere, fragrant with the sweet aroma of orchids, bromeliads, gingers, heliconias and many other beautiful plants displayed in this grand exhibition. Here you can sip a glass of wine or a Devonshire tea, and view demonstrations on flower arranging or the potting and care of orchids and bromeliads.

The flower enthusiasts can also purchase orchids and other plants from nurseries and clubs. The Orchid Spectacular, Darwin also features an orchid competition and photographic competitions, both of which are open to everyone and have no entrance fee.

In the orchid competition, there are more than 60 classes to be judged, including a floral art section and in the photographic competition, the judges have to decide the winner in 6 classes, including a postcard size category, ideal for the amateur enthusiast.

An Entry fee is applicable for the event. The cost for entry to the Orchid Spectacular is AUD4.00 per adult with student, family and concession rates available. Entry for children below the age of 12 years is free.
