Darwin is a small outback town situated in the Northern territory of Australia, and is gradually starting to be one of the oft-visited tourist destinations of Australia. A nature lover's haven, Darwin has a number of nature parks and wildlife sanctuaries that aim at preserving and caring for wildlife and nature. One of the very famous parks in Darwin is the Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin. The Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin is a beautiful park that is spread around the Palm Creek, which winds its way through the center of the park. This park houses many different birds, mammals and reptiles, which breed here and stay in the shadows and comfort of the monsoon forest, with its dense vegetation. The Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin actually protects the monsoon forest, and covers over 250 hectares. It has a variety of birds and animals, such as including Spangled Drongoes and the Torres Strait Imperial Pigeons, as also the Red-backed Fairy-wren. The Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin has a main picnic area, which has amazing views of the wetlands in the north, the monsoon forest in the east, and the ridges and savanna woodlands in the south. There is also a lower picnic area that leads directly to the Palm Creek. There is a walk through the Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin, which is cool and shady, and gives the visitors a wonderful place to stroll in. there is also another track especially meant for cyclists and horse-riders. In the past, the Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin was apparently used picnics, collecting flowers and ferns and also for shooting or hunting. However, it was later turned into a recreational area, where one can come to spend some time in the serene company of nature. Amidst the din and bustle of the normal life, coming to the Holmes Jungle Nature Park, Darwin, is like coming to a calm and quite place in the coolness of the shaded paths and with the clear blue waters of the creek for company!
